Hinds Secures Double-double in Loss Against Salem

 Bluefield State University men’s basketball fell to Salem University 94-67 on Saturday at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

Jordan Hinds came away with a double-double, with 22 points and ten rebounds. Kaine McColley added 19 points followed by Rylan Bowens with 11.

The Tigers struck first, but Big Blue McColley answered with a three. Five minutes into play, the Tigers built a six-point lead over the Big Blue. At the 13:36 mark, a three from McColley pulled the Big Blue within one of the Tigers. Midway through the half, the Tigers built their lead back up to 11. The Tigers went on to close out the half outscoring the Big Blue 8-3, to take the 50-36 advantage into the half over the Big Blue.

Five minutes into the second half, the Tigers extended their lead to 27. A layup from Hinds pulled the Big Blue within 16 at the 8:04 mark, but the Big Blue could not get any closer, falling to Salem University 94-67.
