Median-sized businesses in Mercer County zip codes in 2016 have between five and nine employees, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

There were 1,231 total businesses in the county zip codes, with 229 retail trade businesses (18.6%) accounting for the largest proportion of these businesses. 554 businesses (45%) had fewer than five employees, and four (0.3%) had 250 or more.
