Graduates earn 465 degrees, certificates from Concord University

About 20.4 percent of the 465 degrees and certificates handed out by Concord University in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Athens conferred 59 bachelor's degrees and 30 master's degrees in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general studies. Data shows the school gave out 59 bachelor's degrees in general studies, followed by 58 master's degrees in social work and 45 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 2,040 students for 2017-18, including 1,729 in undergraduate programs and 311 in graduate programs.
