89 percent of applicants to Concord University were admitted for fall 2018

At Concord University, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Athens enrolled 2,040 students in fall 2018, including 1,729 in undergraduate and 311 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

72 percent of undergraduates are residents of West Virginia, and 23 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (82 percent) and Black or African American (6 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 1,670 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
