Bluefield State University Volleyball fell to King University 3-1.
King jumped out to an early 10-4 lead in the first set, before the Bog Blue pulled within three by a kill from Kateryna Dashevska. Later in the set, the Big Blue tied it up 18-18 after scoring six consecutive points: three kills from Allyson Martin, one from Dashevska and two errors from King. The Big Blue would fight back to tie the set ten more times, before falling 31-29.
A kill from BriShaela McHaney sparked a four point run for the Big Blue to take the early 11-6 lead. After King pulled within one, the Big Blue went on to extend their lead 24-17. King would go on to score the next two points, before the Big Blue would secure set two 25-19.
After falling behind early in set three, the Big Blue would attempt the late rally to pull within three: an ace from Lindsey Neal, a kill from Aydan Dalak and a King miscue. Despite the late rally, King would take set three 25-21.
The Big Blue fought back in set four twice to tie the set 4-4 and 5-5. Later in the set, the Big Blue would score four consecutive from two King miscues, a kill and ace from Dashevska before falling to King in set four 25-15.
