Bluefield State University women's basketball win back-to-back after a 90-65 victory over Washington Adventist at Ned E. Shott Gymnasium.
After a slow start for the Big Blue, a midrange jumper from Gabrielle Thomas with three minutes left in the first half, put the Big Blue at a double-digit lead for the first time. The Big Blue scored the last ten points of the first to go into the half with the 44-29 lead over the Shock.
Coming out of the half, the Big Blue outscored the shock 21-13 in the third quarter. The Big Blue had their largest lead of the night at 27 after a trip to the line by Dani Janutolo.
Rori Cox led all scorers with 16 points and the team lead in rebounds of five. Azariah Binford followed with 14 points and Janutolo with 12.
