Eight Big Blue scored double digits to take down Johnson & Wales University 145-106 at Ned Shott Gymnasium on Wednesday.

Malik Lacewell led the Big Blue with a season high of 25 points followed by Malik Tidwell with 20 points. Jordan Hinds added 13 points with Kaine McColley, Samuel Desouza and Khamaury McMillan with 12. McMillan completed the double-double coming away with ten rebounds. Landry Palata added 11 points along with four blocks with Rylan Bowens contributing ten.

After starting off with a technical foul free throw by Tidwell, the Big Blue quickly built a 15-4 lead over the Wildcats. The Wildcats pulled within seven of the Big Blue midway through the first half, but could not get within a single digit deficit the rest of the night. The Big Blue reached a lead of 20 after a trip to the line for Hirotaka Ohashi with eight minutes left in the first half. A fastbreak layup by Palata sparked a ten-point run for the Big Blue. The Big Blue closed out the final minute in the first with a layup from McMillan and back-to-back threes from Lacewell and Ohashi to go into the half with the 36-point advantage over the Wildcats.

The Big Blue pushed their lead to 40 at 17:41 after a three from Tidwell. The Big Blue reach the 100 mark after a put back dunk from Palata. Midway through the second half, Jason Priah cut off the half court pass by the Wildcats and took it to the bucket for two to extend the lead 117-73. After a missed three by the Wildcats and a rebound from Priah, Jaaden Newell drove to the basket to extend the lead to 45. The final points for the Big Blue came from a dunk by Chase Page to come away with the 145-106 victory over Johnson & Wales University.
