The average cost of regular gas in cities within Mercer County was $3.33 per gallon.
Of the 14 gas stations in cities within Mercer County, seven offer regular gas.
The average price of regular gas in West Virginia was $3.39, compared to $3.40 the week before.
Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
